Not many days after the interview was made, the notice of the Ringmaster breaking out of prison was made public by the Lighthalzen’s prison authorities.

They report the departure was made in the greatest secrecy, and there was no fighting within the walls of the prison. Whether Mr. DeArnet fled by himself or was aided by undead spirits is unknown at the moment.

All that was left in the cell were the items delivered to him by visitors, listed as “six different hair brushes, a sack with a thin pillow inside, a wool blanket, and a small compact mirror.”

Several days after his escape, a few mutated plants were discovered to be growing in the back prison wall. They were carnivorous and near monstrous in nature as reports would have it; however they were subdued rather quickly by the efforts of the local officials with a few critical injuries and several minor to note. Investigators are still seeking a link between the curious plant-life and the Ring Master’s escape, however no immediate connection has been provided other than time and circumstance.

Requirements: Level 60 and above. You can still attend the event if you do not meet this requirement, but you will not be guaranteed a prosperous outcome, should battles occur!

Grand Opening Event

Date: Sunday, November 8th
Time: 6PM PDT/9PM EST
Where: Prontera, near the hand-in-hand statue north of the center fountain.
Requirements: None. Characters of all classes and levels are welcome to attend. However, in future events for this storyline, this will change. Please take the time to level up if you want to continue with this particular story!

We’re more or less ready for the grand opening of the new and improved Aeon Server! Before you can begin on your new adventures, there are a couple things you need to do:

1. Apply for a new account! As the beta phase is now over, we have wiped all accounts so that everyone starts off on the same foot.
2. Apply for a new forum account! Part of our renewal movement is an update to our forum boards (found here: http://aeonro.org/newboard/). As a result, we are using an upgraded version of the previous board software and have had to change the way our system operates. We”ll therefore need you to register for our forums separately.

Now then, once you’ve completed both of the above tasks, you’re able to log into the server! If you were part of our beta testing phase, all you need to do is run your patcher and grab the updates to let you play on the server. If you’ve not participated in the beta, you will need to grab our new installer from the download section. (Remember that you need a game server account in order to download files from us).

Once you run the patcher, select the “Aeon Main” server and log in!

As an added bonus and thank-you to all of our players for being so patient, we’re offering a one-time grand opening prize:

For all players who level a single character to 2nd job by Sunday November 1, 2009, we will reward your account 5 Tokens of Aeon and 5 Role Play Tokens. Woo! All you have to do is log in and level yourself up to the 2nd tier class - that means, Knight, Crusader, Assassin, and so forth.
Note: only 5 Tokens of Aeon and 5 Role Play Tokens will be rewarded to each player. Leveling multiple characters on one or more accounts will not receive extra rewards.

A couple other things to note:

1. With the new forum boards (located at http://aeonro.org/newboard/), our current forums will be considered defunct. As a courtesy, we are leaving the old forums up in read-only format so that players may access any old information they need to get settled on the new boards. As a warning, however, these boards will not remain up forever. Our plans are to take down the boards within 30 days, so be sure to grab what you need sooner than later!

2. While we were hoping to have far more custom content implemented, we made the decision to move ahead with official release and implement the said content as it is completed. Hopefully we will see things like Prestige Classes and the Aeon Quest Line implemented around Christmas.
