All right, friends. The time has come for us to take the next step in our relationship. We have had good times and bad, and it is apparent that we are all willing to go the extra mile. AeonRO is ready for an update. However, before we can be comfortable switching over completely to this wonderful new content, we must test our customizations and make sure everything is in tip top shape.


How can I help?!
So kind of you to ask. Let's get you set up beforehand.

• First things first, THIS IS NOT A SERVER WIPE. All current characters, items, and whatnot will be transferred over at test completion. Nothing on the test server will remain.
  
• Now that you are done having an asthma attack, go HERE to pick up a complete version of Ragray, a fully functional kRO client for Renewal content. There are options for mirrors, including Rapidshare and torrents (Torrents recommended for speed).
  
  • A special note for those who download the torrent. The 8th file is not in the torrent, but a shortcut to where it can be found on Rapidshare is. Be sure you nab that before trying to extract!
  
  
• Once you have the files downloaded, extract the executable and install it into a FRESH AND EMPTY directory. This is important.
  
• Now you will need the AeonRO files to customize the RagRay setup. Use THIS LINK to download our Lite installer for use with the Ragray installer.
  
• Extract the downloaded Lite installer into the Ragray directory (Be sure to overwrite any files you are asked about).

Now that that's taken care of, you are ready to log in!

• As usual, run the patcher in your Ragray directory when you start the client.
  
• Choose the "Aeon Ragnarok Online - Sakray" server at the selection screen.
  
• Create an account by putting your account name followed by _M (for male) or _F (for female) in the account name. Enter your password to set the password for this account.
  
  • Example: Diace_M / ContractNinja would create a male account with a username of Diace and a password of ContractNinja.
  
  
• Welcome to Aeon, Renewal style.

Well, we're here. What now?
Excellent question. Now is the time to test!

• Rates have been increased greatly to ease the leveling process and help you touch on more areas of the game.
  
• Create characters normally and level normally. Try to use and abuse as many normal and custom NPCs as possible. The purpose is not to get to 99, but to weed out any lasting issues from conversion.
  
• What to do if you find an error:
  
  • Take a screenshot if possible.
    
  • Create a topic within Diace's Help Desk with the word "Renewal" in the topic name.
    
  • Describe the error in clear detail. What were you doing when the error occurred? What happened? What should have happened? Any other pertinent information should be added to the post, as well. Keep it short and sweet, but please be descriptive.

What's in it for me?

• The faster we test, the faster you have your new build!
  
• With the new build complete, we can release new content, including card, classes, and dungeons!
  
• The client is very greatly improved!
