Mushroom Child and Man Make off with High Priestess

Last evening, Meda Taralom, High Priestess of the Bashan Temple was taken. Witnesses stated that the woman was quickly captured and taken away, the child doing much to avoid being trailed. Guards were in pursuit, but quickly dodged. One guard that made it until the very end stated that the man created giant monstrous plants that chased them away, killing one of the other guards.

Several people recognized the man as the individual who interrupted her mass to Bashan some time ago; speaking against her methods of direction for the faith. Folks seemed to remember her addressing the suspect as ‘Vezzini’. He’s described as a fellow of average height, white hair, pale skin, a distinctive nose, and red eyes. The child in his company was very small and petite with green hair, a large mushroom cap upon her head and pale skin much like her companion.

House of Munin representative Marona Munin comments, “It is a shame that she was taken and we are doing everything in our power to return her to the temple. We shall pray for her safety.” Marona is currently standing in for High Priestess Taralom during her absence.

Any information leading to the discovery of High Priestess Taralom’s whereabouts shall be rewarded.

Payon Experiences Town-Wide Manic behavior: Local Doctors Baffled

The forested town of Payon has recently experienced a strange phenomenon with it’s citizens. For a single day inexplicably; many of the residents suffered an overwhelming sense of depression and anxiety. The majority has recovered since the incident, however the effects have left a mark in the manifestation of several attempted, and successful suicides.

“It’s a horrible, mysterious thing.” Stated Mei-Huan, an elderly woman who cares for a local restaurant. “I was perfectly fine that day, and then in a blink I was just consumed with a suffocating sense of… helplessness. I spent hours crying, thinking about everything wrong in my life. I don’t believe myself to be a negative person so… it was a very unusual and unwelcome experience.”

Most of the locals believe it was bad spirits, as there have been reported cases of the dead walking - but most write these off as urban legend.
