| Feud Between Noble Houses? |

It seems that two of Midgard’s prominent noble houses, House Blackwood and House Flores, are no longer on speaking terms. A week ago, House Flores decided to cease purchasing raw materials from House Blackwood and instead import them from Arunafelz, citing cheaper costs which in turn would lower the price of the fine weapons and armor it produces. Mormont Blackwood, a personal adviser to the King and head of his house, angrily resigned his position and stormed away from the castle when Tristan refused to force House Flores to purchase its materials within Midgard. When a messenger from the Flores castle was sent to negotiate with Mormont, he vanished and House Blackwood refuses to comment on the situation. Members of the Militia are investigating the disappearance, but are unable to reach House Blackwood. In fact, the house has become quite reclusive, and cannot be contacted for any reason. House Flores fears the worst, as one member commented, “We know they have our messenger sequestered away in the castle somewhere. I can only hope she’s being treated humanely, as she’s a cousin of mine and we’re quite close. I hope Mormont calms himself and sees reason in our decision. We only want what is best for our customers, and obviously he’s more worried about profit than anything else.” More on the situation as it develops.
